In two general introductory chapters John White discusses the validity of the aims and how they might be realized in schools. The book concludes with suggestions about how government policy on the curriculum should now succeed.

About the Author

John White is Emeritus Professor of Philosophy of Education at the Institute of Education’s Educational Foundations and Policy Studies department. He is particularly interested in the mind of the learner and in interrelationships among educational aims and applications to school curricula.
