A quick way to search for an article!

| December 6, 2011

In an effort to bring more information to the community about library services we are going to answer frequently asked questions right here on Pressible! Of course you are still welcome at all times to stop by the desk and ask your questions.

The end of the semester is quickly approaching and students have mentioned that the work is piling on. Many students have come to the services desk asking how to quickly find an article. One way to quickly locate an article is to go to the Columbia University Libraries home page. The quick search is located in the middle of the page. Click on the articles tab. The tab should turn yellow. You can then type in a phrase or topic like you would for a google search to find an article.  Or you can type in the title of an article or the author of an article to help you find articles you are looking for. Once you click “go” to complete your search, you will be brought to a page displaying the search results. You can narrow your search based on the options listed on the left side of the page. I hope this provides you with a quick and easy way to locate articles.

You can also search for an article in TC’s article search here.

If you have any trouble finding an article please feel free to stop by the library services desk located on the first floor and we will help you locate what you are looking for.
