Artist Turns Old Books into Crystallized Art

| July 25, 2013

San Francisco based artist Alexis Arnold,  inspired by the world’s gradual transition from books to e-books, began turning abandoned books into crystallized memorials. He explains,”the crystals remove the text and transform the books into aesthetic, non-functional objects. The books, now frozen with heavy crystal growth, have become artifacts or geologic specimens imbued with the history of time, use, and nostalgia.”
