Censorship causes blindness. Read!September 22-28 is Banned Books Week! If you’re looking to celebrate by reading a banned or challenged book, you can check out 2012’s top ten challenged books . You can also check out Banned Books Week’s list of Banned Books that Shaped America.

In recent news on this front, the school board of Randolph County, NC recently banned Ralph’s Ellison’s Invisible Man, which won the 1953 National Book Award for fiction and features regularly on lists of best English language novels.
