Wireless in the City

| June 22, 2011

As someone who has always worked in a library, I have always struggled to find somewhere else to study and/or write.  As a result, finding other places to study/work has been something of a long-suffering quest.  Who wants to be inside when it is gorgeous?  How can I import the trees and the smell of fresh-cut grass inside?  Well this summer,  New York City in conjunction with AT&T have implemented free wireless in a few of the city’s parks.  Take advantage of this great service and stay connected while still enjoying the beautiful outdoors. Currently free wi-fi is only offered in a few locations but more will be added throughout the summer.  Visit the following website for more information:

If free wireless is not offered where you are, do check out the following websites for other alternatives.  There are similar services being offered by various groups in certain locations throughout Manhattan.
